They have worked for many years more multimedia products born from this cooperation in in forming the widest possible public about the work of the Aeronautica. This book, like their other productions over the years, has a specific precise and detailed style, which shows the military and aeronautical background of its creators. The book is mostly photographic, and has evolved from a limited edition brochure about the Aeronautica, which was finished a year ago, and included texts, pictures and films. From the original multi-media product, this book has retained only what was necessary, some of the writing, but above all its spirit. The spirit of describing the Aeronautica in a fast, direct, honest way. Our aim right from the start was to produce a photographic book which was not just a series of nice “soulless” pictures. A book which, without altering its typology, communicates tangibly in a single large overall picture, the commitment, hard work, daring, devotion, loyalty to the state, sense of sacrifice, training, and the cutting edge of technological development. In fact, a book about ourselves, and the values we live by and honour daily, without question, but with conviction and determination. The book describes the Aeronautica Militare which is always in the front line, every day, all day, even while you are reading these brief notes, in its difficult, highly responsible duty of serving Italy arid all its citizen <br><br> The Aeronautica Militare is one of the four Italian armed forces. Together with the Esercito, Marina and Carabinieri it constitutes the defence organisation of the country. It guarantees the security necessary for the smooth twining of every day life. The Aeronautica main duty is to defend Italian air space from any violation, preventing and neutralising any possible threats from the sky, It also contributes men and equipment to peace operations outside Italy, humanitarian mission, and air rescue. Iris a hard task, above all in this current period of instability, in which unfortunately in have become used to tragic new terrorist techniques of attack. However our system of air defence has adapted to the tunes.
